Job summary

Delano in Miami Beach is seeking a Server Assistant to support Head Servers and Servers in a lively dining setting. You will help keep the dining area clean, stocked, and running smoothly to ensure guests are cared for throughout service.

Responsibilities include clearing and resetting tables, running food and beverages to tables, refilling beverages, and maintaining clean service stations. A friendly, guest-focused attitude and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized during busy service.
• Strong communication and teamwork with a guest-focused attitude.
• Respond to guest requests and handle basic issues professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas and stations.
• Ability to multitask and work outdoors in sandy/wet environments.

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset tables by removing used plates, glassware, and utensils, then wiping and re-setting with clean tableware and condiments.
• Run food and beverages from the kitchen or bar to guests’ tables, ensuring items go to the correct guests.
• Refill water and other non-alcoholic beverages and assist with bread or complimentary items as directed by the server.
• Guest support and assistance to guests during service.
• Greet guests warmly when appropriate and respond to simple requests like extra napkins or condiments.
• Alert the server or supervisor promptly if guests express complaints or special concerns.
• Station and cleanliness duties to keep service areas stocked with essentials.
• Assist with general cleaning tasks such as polishing glassware, removing trash, and following opening/closing side work checklists.
