Job summary

Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC, is seeking a full-time nocturnist OBGYN hospitalist to cover 5p–7a shifts with backup call provided by two hospital-employed groups. The hospital offers a Level III NICU, in-house anesthesia, and robust recruitment incentives including signing bonus and student loan assistance.

The position supports the generalist OB/GYN service line with planned expansion for weekday night and weekend coverage within six months.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN).
• Experience in hospitalist settings with night coverage preferred.
• Comfort with high-risk obstetrics and neonatal care.

Responsibilities

• Cover nocturnist OBGYN hospitalist shifts (evening to early morning).
• Coordinate care with hospital-employed groups.
• Participate in OB volume management and high-risk patient care.

Job description

Hospitalist: Self Regional is also seeking a full-time nocturnist OBGYN Hospitalist to cover an average of 3-14h shifts (5p-7a) per week. Back-up call provided by the two hospital-employed groups.

• Our hospital has an excellent Level III NICU and has recently on-boarded a local MFM for consults.

• We encourage VBACs and have in-house anesthesia.

• Generalist position:

• Current Hospitalist coverage 2 weekdays per week and all weekends

• The hospital is working toward providing all weekday night and weekend coverage for the generalist groups within 6 months

• 1:7 call with 1:6 backup weekend call

• A typical work week involves:

• 1 call day

• Post call day off (if you are primary coverage overnight; otherwise, if backup overnight coverage, AM-only office post-call)

• 2.5-3 total office days

• At least 0.5 day OR

• We scrub all major GYN surgeries together and have robotic surgery available

• We value family and are team-oriented.

• We share OB volume, including many high risk patients.
• For any current OBGYN resident, a monthly stipend is offered until the start date for the position.
