Job summary

Interstate Brick, part of the Pacific Coast Building Products family, is seeking a CNC operator to run machines, set up, program, and produce high-quality parts in our Utah facility.

Under the Assistant Plant Manager, you will perform maintenance, ensure safety, keep records, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining attendance and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training in CNC operation and CAD drafting preferred.
• Familiar with Rhino 3D and CAD software preferred.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with attention to detail.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills. Reasoning ability: must be able to make reasonable decisions.
• Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts by programming, setting up, and running the machine.
• Regularly perform maintenance tasks on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment and materials are stored properly.
• Work between production and drafting to evaluate what pieces can be put into CNC production.
• Prepares stock materials for machining.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machinery and software.
• Keeps records as requested by supervisor.
• Identify and suggest opportunities for process improvement.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures in the workplace.
• Performs other duties assigned inside and out of the assigned department.
• Predictable, and Regular attendance is required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of Assistant Plant Manager, this position is responsible for operating the CNC machine(s); and it is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.
