This employee is responsible for overseeing all components of an assigned client’s case, including managing educational/ABA programming, training and supervising ABA therapists, supporting and collaborating with the related service team, communicating with the family and outside providers, and participating in trainings and meetings related to their clients or the clinic. They directly supervise the ABA therapists working on their team and inter-team therapists. They report directly to their Program Director.

• Oversees 6 MBC comprehensive cases
  • Assesses skills of all assigned cases on an annual basis or upon enrollment in MBC
  • Develops annual goals in collaboration with related service providers, parents, and other outside providers as appropriate
  • Participates in the insurance authorization process if family is seeking reimbursement through insurance
  • Follows MBC guidelines to develop and maintain programming and data collection systems using Central Reach
  • Oversees ABA programming and tracks progress towards goals via informal (e.g., weekly spot checks) and formal methods (e.g., Program Review, Documentation and Data Analysis)
  • Writes progress reports at a minimum of two times a year
  • Follows MBC protocols for maintaining case documentation (e.g., session guidelines, observation and co‑treat notes, incident reports, IEP prep etc.)
  • Demonstrates effective time management skills using organizational support as needed (e.g., case manager checklist, weekly agenda, etc.)
  • Participates in development of FBAs and BIPs to address inappropriate behaviors in collaboration with Program Supervisor, Director of Education, and Director of Clinical Development
  • Participates in DOE-led IEP meetings and hearing proceedings as appropriate
  • Builds and maintains a professional and positive relationship with parents/caregivers and ensures frequent communication (e.g., weekly check‑ins, monthly comprehensive updates, etc.)
  • Serves as liaison between MBC team and parents/caregivers including coordination of observations, trainings, regular updates, addressing parent concerns/questions
  • Provides regular observation and training for ABA staff assigned to students on caseload
  • Attends regular co‑treatment sessions with related service providers
  • Leads transdisciplinary team when creating transdisciplinary plans
  • Leads team meetings (e.g., case conferences, clinics)
  • Participates in non‑MBC team meetings when appropriate (e.g., with home‑based team)
  • Manages client files, documentation, materials, and therapy space, with delegation to team members as appropriate
  • Creates supply order requests as appropriate
• Supervises team of ABA therapists
  • Builds and maintains a professional and positive rapport with each staff member
  • Provides training and feedback to all staff related to direct care with clients, as well as each staff members’ assigned role and expectations (e.g., data analyst, client assist)
  • Completes and participates in scheduled reviews of ABA therapists and facilities professional development opportunities as appropriate
• Meets with lead staff weekly to review Central Reach programing and client’s educational needs
• Meets with Program Director weekly
  • Prepares and manages agenda, including highlighting priority items, reporting on completed tasks, and following up on outstanding items
• Collaborates with Training and Central Reach Coordinator to support needs of team
• Serves as role model/leader within organization to ABA therapists and other providers
• Report concerns to Program Director promptly (e.g., staff training, parent difficulties, challenges meeting deadlines etc.)
• Demonstrates professional competence across situations (e.g., attendance/timeliness, confidentiality, navigating unexpected or challenging circumstances etc.)
• Submits through, complete, and timely paperwork to Program Supervisor
• Provides direct care for all clients on case load on an as-needed basis
• Provides coverage for on‑call responsibilities on an as‑needed basis
• Participates in clinic‑wide trainings, including opportunities to provide training to all staff
• Provides BCBA/LBA supervision to ABA therapists
• Engage and use Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) holds/transport or disengagement tactics for students during behavioral episodes. This may mean physically intervening after being trained thoroughly, to help deescalate children when they become a danger to themselves or others.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or related human services field
• BCBA and NYS LBA (or Limited Permit/application in process)
• Minimum of 2 years of Case management/supervision required
