Turn Challenges into Breakthroughs — One Step at a Time. At Grafton, we are united by a shared purpose: helping individuals with complex needs live their best lives. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you’ll design, implement, and oversee evidence-based behavioral interventions that support individuals with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and other complex behavioral and mental health needs. You’ll work with a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, using data-driven practices to create meaningful, measurable impact through consultative support, clinical problem-solving, and direct client services. BCBAs are not responsible for supervising or managing Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). You’ll be supported in a culture that values teamwork, well-being, professional growth, and ethical excellence.

Join us and see the impact of your expertise change lives every day. Be part of a team that leads with Heart & GRIT, the Grafton Way.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and oversee treatment planning within a person-centered service model.
  • Coordinate with the support team to develop and utilize treatment plans aimed at long-term goals and short-term objectives based on the functional behavior assessment.
  • Routinely evaluate treatment plan progress and modify as needed to promote replacement behavior skills.
  • Promote a person-centered approach to treatment and collaborate with team members, clients, and families to improve quality of life.
  • Identify behaviors that block progress and develop programs that leverage the individual’s strengths.
  • Provide family training for residential client cases and use a positive intervention model that minimizes physical intervention.
  • Assess the function of behavior using direct assessment tools and, when appropriate, functional analysis and data methods (e.g., ABC, time sampling, event recording).
  • Prepare clinical assessments and summaries for treatment authorization; write behavioral goals and objectives based on assessment results.
  • Document, summarize, and report progress data monthly; create and update treatment and discharge plans; support monthly treatment plan review meetings.
  • Train and mentor staff on ABA treatment procedures, data collection, and family/provider training; promote ethical and effective practice.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in a human services field.
  • Current board certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Valid driver’s license; licensure by the Board of Medicine (Virginia) if applicable.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Starting compensation: $87,068.80 to $109,990.40, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • $6,000 sign-on bonus.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage; Flexible Spending Accounts; Health Savings Accounts; Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Employer-paid life insurance; short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • Generous paid time off, retirement plan with employer match, and employee discounts.
  • Education assistance, continuing education opportunities, and potential federal student loan forgiveness eligibility (as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit).
  • Career development programs, including training for CPR, de-escalation, and related practices; referral bonuses for hiring new talent.
