Job summary

Mark’s Feed Store is hiring an Expo to coordinate communication between the kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring timely, well-plated orders. You will review orders, expedite, and verify presentation and temperature while maintaining a clean expediting station.

As part of a fast-paced team, you will support inventory, assist with dietary needs, and collaborate with kitchen and servers to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, especially between the kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure.
• Comfortable working with food and managing food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming orders to ensure they are complete and accurate.
• Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure all components of the order are ready for plating.
• Expedite orders by organizing them efficiently and ensuring they are sent out in a timely manner.
• Inspect dishes to ensure proper presentation, temperature, and quality before they are delivered to the table.
• Communicate with servers to ensure they are aware of order statuses and any special instructions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expediting station.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues with orders or ingredients.
• Assist in managing inventory levels and alert the kitchen manager when supplies are running low.
• Ensure that special dietary needs or guest requests are communicated properly to the kitchen and met to the best of the kitchen's ability.
• Maintain a positive and efficient working relationship with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
