Sports Basement in California is hiring a Truck Driver to operate, organize, and maintain the transfer truck for Bay Area routes. You will transport goods store-to-store, perform pre/post-drive checks, and help with loading/unloading while staying compliant with safety rules.

The role reports to the Sr. Manager/Director of Operations and offers hourly pay between $24-30, with location and experience affecting starting wages. Candidates must have a valid license and reliable driving record.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C license and good standing required.
• At least 1 year driving experience, preferably long-haul.
• Must maintain a clean driving record and provide proof of insurance.
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs and operate loading equipment.
• Basic computer skills for logs and reports.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Check in/out with Receiving/Rental before departure, and assist with loading/unloading as needed.
• Perform pre/post-drive vehicle inspections and document DVIR.
• Ensure safe loading/unloading and on-time delivery store-to-store.
• Adhere to traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with stores and management for route changes.
