KCRA 3, a Hearst Television station, is launching a new feature-driven content venture. The Features Multimedia Journalist based in San Francisco will craft longform stories with compelling visuals for TV, digital, streaming and social.

Requirements include 5+ years in broadcasting or digital content, strong storytelling and script-editing, proficiency with video editing tools, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in broadcasting or digital content production.
• Strong storytelling, writing, and script-editing skills.
• Willing to work remotely and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willing to travel for story assignments.
• Understanding of current digital trends and audience engagement.

Responsibilities

• Capture, edit, and produce engaging long-form feature content.
• Uncover and pitch Bay Area stories for all platforms.
• Experiment with formats for long-form video, live streaming and interactive content.
• Maintain brand consistency across platforms while adapting tone and style.
• Produce platform-optimized videos, graphics, and written content beyond TV.
• Support audience growth with shareable social content.
• Exhibit integrity and ethical standards.
