Job summary

SpaceX, together with Akoustis, is seeking a BAW Filter Design Engineer to develop filters from concept to production for Starlink systems. You will perform EM simulations, design RF modules, and optimize performance within size and cost constraints.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in electrical engineering and 1+ years in RF/antenna or related fields, with experience in HFSS, CST, ADS, or COMSOL. The role requires collaboration across design and manufacturing teams and occasional extended

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
1+ years of RF/antenna or communications experience.
Experience with EM simulation tools (HFSS, CST, ADS, COMSOL).

Responsibilities

Design and develop BAW filters from concept to production.
Perform advanced EM simulations to model BAW performance and manufacturability.
Design RF modules, including layout and packaging integration.
Optimize filter performance for insertion loss, return loss, bandwidth, and size.
Collaborate with process engineers and system architects for integration.
Create test plans and validate with network/spectrum analyzers.
Document design results and hand off to production.
