Job summary

Interstate Batteries in Lancaster, CA is hiring a Warehouse Team Member II to keep a well-stocked, organized facility and to assist Route Service Managers. You will handle batteries, restock, inspect, and support on-time deliveries while upholding safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of warehouse experience, strong communication, and the ability to operate a forklift or other motorized equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management skills and able to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of carrier operations, shipment routing, and distribution methods.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations.
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required.
• Understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements. Ability to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift.
• Must have a clean drivers record AND meet driver qualifications requirements.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload batteries.
• Restock batteries.
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations.
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries.
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims.
• Operate a forklift and motor vehicle.
• Run the Hot Shots on a timely basis as needed.
• Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM, as needed.
• Collect and handle payments on account, which may include cash, checks and money orders.
• Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse.
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager.
• Other duties as requested
