Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Warehouse Team Member II to join our Akron-area team. The role focuses on keeping a well-stocked, organized warehouse and supporting Route Service Managers by delivering batteries and handling related duties.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of warehouse experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate forklifts and vehicles safely. The position requires physical effort and attention to safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of carrier operations, routing, and distribution methods.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations.
• Ability to operate motor vehicle and/or forklift.
• Must have a clean drivers record and meet driver qualifications.
• Working knowledge of computers with ability to learn systems.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload batteries.
• Restock batteries.
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations.
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries.
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse.
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims.
• Operate a forklift and motor vehicle.
• Run the Hot Shots on a timely basis as needed.
• Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM when needed.
• Collect and handle payments on account (cash, checks and money orders).
• Return junk and used batteries to the warehouse.
• Follow driver program requirements.
• Other duties as requested.
