Job summary

OSI Engineering in Cupertino, CA is seeking a Battery Test and Data Engineer to execute and track electrical and thermal testing across cell, pack, and system levels, while driving data automation to turn raw test data into actionable insights.

You will blend hands-on lab work with software-driven data engineering, building tools that scale and developing dashboards for data processing and visualization. The role requires strong Python/MATLAB skills and experience with battery test equipment.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, or MS with 3+ years
• Strong hands-on experience with battery cycling test equipment, including Maccor, Arbin, Gamry, or similar systems
• Demonstrated expertise in sensor measurement, data acquisition and structured battery test procedures
• Strong proficiency in Python and MATLAB utilizing data libraries for processing and analysis of signal-watch
• Proficient in SQL, with hands-on experience querying and analyzing large-scale time-series datasets in cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake
• Proven experience developing internal dashboards and applications for data automation
• Ability to maintain strict project confidentiality in a fast-paced hardware development environment

Responsibilities

• Execute and track comprehensive electrical and thermal testing protocols across cell, pack, and system levels
• Operate battery cycling test equipment and manage sensor measurements and data acquisition workflows
• Drive data automation initiatives to transform raw test data into actionable engineering insights
• Develop and maintain custom dashboards and applications for data processing, automation, and visualization
• Query and analyze large-scale time-series datasets using cloud data warehouses
• Collaborate cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot test anomalies and streamline testing pipelines
