Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Battery Tech to perform repair and service work on company batteries and chargers. You will inspect, test, and document repair orders, while assisting in material handling and process improvements.

The role requires attention to detail, basic computer and writing skills, and at least a high school diploma or GED. Applicants should be prepared for standing work, repetitive motion, and physical tasks in a factory environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection and testing of batteries and chargers.
• Read and comprehend repair orders and complete repair order forms.
• Assist in material handling, 5S projects, and stocking shelves as needed.
• Make decisions on feasibility of repairs and document outcomes.
• Keep records of parts used for billing and warranty information.
• Recognize and report operational irregularities and defective materials.
• Perform prescribed inspections and participate in in-process and final inspections.
• Maintain quality, safety, and housekeeping in the work area.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks as directed by supervisors.

GWD Battery Tech

Job Description

The Battery Tech will perform repair and/or service work of Company products in accordance with prescribed procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all the necessary inspection and testing of batteries and chargers
• Read and comprehend repair order information
• Complete the information on the repair order form
• Assist in other areas of the cell as needed such as material handling, 5’s projects, stock shelves, pack items to ship to QE, etc
• Make decisions as to feasibility of repairs.
• Keep records of parts used and provide data for billing and/or warranty information.
• Recognize and report operational irregularities and defective materials.
• Perform prescribed inspections.
• Work is subject to in process and final inspection.
• Responsible for quality of work, safety and housekeeping in assigned area.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as directed.
