Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Battery Technician to assemble, install, inspect, and maintain batteries across a range of devices, from cars to heavy machinery. You’ll remove defective parts, test performance, and adjust charge parameters while ensuring safety protocols are followed.

The role requires the ability to travel up to 50% and lift heavy components, with a strong emphasis on battery safety and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of using, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing electrical and battery testing equipment.
• Knowledge of battery safety best practices and industry standards, related to the testing, storage and disposal of lithium-ion and lithium primary cells and batteries.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, inspect, and maintain batteries in various devices.
• Remove and disassemble cells, replace parts, and test battery performance.
• Read meters and adjust charge parameters; perform discharge tests and repairs.
• Travel to customer locations or service centers as needed (approx. 25–50%).
