Job summary

Cirba Solutions in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Battery Sorter to correctly identify and sort batteries by chemistry and type. You will tape terminals and pack batteries using bags and boxes, while maintaining high safety standards.

The role requires basic math, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions. Physical tasks include lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for long periods, with some locations requiring forklift operation.

Qualifications

• Able to lift consistently up to 40 lbs.
• Must follow written and verbal safety instructions.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

As a Battery Sorter, you will properly identify, and sort batteries based on the chemistry/type.

You will tape the terminals of the batteries and pack batteries using bags and boxes.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures health and safety is the number one goal by following warehouse safety procedures and processes


• Identify and sort batteries by chemistry


• Taping terminals/ends of batteries


• Sort out debris and non-conforming material


• Store batteries and non-conforming material in drums


• Label drums according to regulations and guidelines


• Weigh and document material


• General cleaning


• Comply with all environmental, health and safety regulations


• Sit or stand for most of the shift


• Some locations may require operating a forklift to transfer material


• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• Frequently lift 10-40 pounds individually, and over 40 pounds with a team member


• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
