Job summary

Crown Lift Trucks Ltd. is seeking a Battery Service Engineer to service and repair battery equipment at customer sites across the UK. You will work to planned schedules, maintain van stock, and accurately complete all paperwork including timesheets and requisitions.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, knowledge of battery systems, and strong fault-finding ability, with a focus on safety and professional standards. Training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold full UK Driving Licence.
• Battery, Charger & Change systems knowledge.
• Proficient in fault finding and repair.
• Educated with GCSE English & Maths (Grade C).
• Experience of Health & Safety requirements working in a workshop.
• Commitment to continuing personal and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service and repairs to battery equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional and cost effective manner.
• Work to a planned schedule of service and maintenance jobs at client premises.
• Monitor and count van stock; ensure sufficient for day-to-day maintenance.
• Accurately complete job sheets, timesheets and purchase requisitions.
• Take responsibility for all equipment and tooling and ensure safe condition.
• Diagnose faults to a component level.
• Work to strict schedules and deadlines.
