Job summary

Henpen Corporation is seeking a Controls Engineer in Tennessee to manage electrical and automation systems across the plant. You will support equipment performance indicators, troubleshoot mission-critical controls, and guide maintenance staff in PM/TPM activities.

The role requires hands-on experience with Siemens PLCs, HMI software, and networked automation systems. Strong problem-solving and documentation skills are essential for uptime and reliability improvements.

Qualifications

BS degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
Experience with instrumentation and maintenance in industrial automation in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
Experience with lean techniques and structured quality systems.
Working knowledge of Siemens PLC programs installing, troubleshooting, programming and tuning AC/DC/VFD motor drives.
Ability to read/edit electrical, instrumentation and automation documents (P&IDs, schematics, wiring diagrams).

Responsibilities

Maintain and upgrade manufacturing process critical equipment with up-to-date technologies.
Propose continuous improvement plans to enhance uptime, MTBF and reliability.
Plan and participate in annual CAPEX projects.
Guide Supervisors and Technicians with preventive maintenance and TPM activities.
Assist spare parts management and ensure stock availability.
Document preventive maintenance procedures, calibration procedures, and training materials.
Coordinate with IT for manufacturing network issues and troubleshooting.
Support on-call for emergencies and weekend activities.
