infusion.fi seeks a Battery Maintenance Associate for mid-shift coverage to inspect, recharge, repair, and replace batteries for electric industrial trucks. You will perform duties safely, accurately, and meet productivity goals.
Responsibilities include battery changes, fluid level checks, monitoring charging processes, and maintaining records. The role requires reporting safety issues and following all company policies and safety standards.
Battery Maintenance Associate - Mid Shift. Inspects, recharges, repairs, and replaces batteries of electric industrial trucks by performing the following duties. Performs all duties safely, accurately, and meets set productivity goals.
No supervisory experience needed.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one year warehouse related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to read and write simple correspondence. Ability to speak effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Must possess excellent communication skills, organizational skills, problem solving skills and effectively interact with several different personalities and levels of people.
Certification on material handling equipment or ability to become certified.
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. An associate should be able to: use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; stand and walk frequently; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk or hear; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit; lift and/or move up to 40 pounds frequently, between 41 and 50 pounds occasionally, and 51 pounds up to 100 pounds seldom. The associate must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The work environment characteristics are: regularly exposed to fast moving material handling equipment or other mechanical equipment; frequently exposed to freezer/cooler warehouse environments; occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; vehicle emissions; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; high voltage electrical equipment and vibration. Noise level is usually loud.
This is a full-time position. The incumbent must have the ability to work a varying schedule which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays. Work hours may vary or change based on customer order requirements.
