Job summary

Energizer Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Lab Assistant for its Westlake, OH Global R&D Center. You will perform battery testing to support product quality and innovation, working a flexible schedule to meet testing demands.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with a good understanding of math and science.
• Self-motivated, able to work in a team with limited supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook; ability to learn required software.
• Effective written and verbal English communication.
• 2–5 years of prior technical work experience.
• Proven track record of increasing accountability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, label, and organize battery samples for testing.
• Independently use equipment and testing instrumentation such as battery test cabinets, ovens, mechanical testing equipment.
• Load/remove batteries to start/terminate tests per testing plan and schedule.
• Complete laboratory safety and operation duties including battery disposal and inventory management.
• Follow all safety standards at all times.
• Be a self-starter—identify and apply solutions to remove roadblocks.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and good housekeeping of work areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
