Qualifications

• Meticulous, organized and self-motivated with clear communication.
• Acute safety awareness; able to pass drug test and background check.

Ampcera is a US-based innovator and global leader in the development and characterization of solid electrolyte materials for next-generation solid-state batteries. Ampcera has a growing IP portfolio of high-performance engineered solid electrolyte materials, revolutionary scalable manufacturing processes, and novel designs for solid-state batteries.

Ampcera is seeking a Battery Engineer with strong hands-on experience in laboratory environment and materials processing/handling.

Responsibilities

• Work with Battery Scientists to support solid-state battery development efforts.
• Formulate battery electrode materials and carry out cell assembly.
• Constant improvement of solid-state battery processes and design
• Screen/validate electrode composition formulation and battery performance.
• Work with battery testing equipment/software and data analysis.
• Communicate experimental results to the battery development team.

Requirements

• B.S. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other related STEM fields.
• Capable of executing multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment.
• Meticulous, organized, and self-motivated.
• Clear communication skills.
• Acute safety awareness.
• Pass drug test and criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with gloveboxes.
• Familiarity with solid electrolyte materials and electrochemistry.
• Experiences with any type of batteries
• Familiarity with XRD, SEM, EDS and EIS.
• Programming capability for data analysis

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Capable of lifting 50 lbs. with the assistance of lift equipment or cart.
• Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to lab coats, gloves, safety glasses, masks, respirators, etc.
