Job summary

TekCommands is seeking a Battery Characterization Automation Test Engineer to set up, run, and monitor Apple device tests in our lab. You will load test scripts, configure devices, and collect data to ensure quality and accuracy.

You will also maintain scripts, update test software via GitHub, and keep documentation current. The role is 100% onsite in Cupertino with 3 days/week on-site presence and requires 1+ years of experience in related work.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in test or lab environments.
• Proficient in Python for data processing and tool development.
• Proficient in C/C++ for test software development.
• Proficient in Linux/Unix (Bash, Shell).
• Proficient in revision control software such as GitHub.
• Self-starter with ability to handle multiple tasks under deadlines.
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Work in Cupertino office 3 days/week.

Responsibilities

Role Descriptions

• Set up, maintain, and monitor continuous operation of Apple test devices in labs. Test process involves setting up hardware in lab, loading test script & settings on device, kicking off test, collecting data once test completes, and validating data quality.
• Maintain test scripts for various Apple devices.
• Update test software through GitHub as necessary.
• Update documentation as necessary

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience
• Proficient in Python for data processing and analysis tool development.
• Proficient in C/C++ for test software development
• Proficient in Linux/Unix (Bash and Shell)
• Proficient in revision control software such as GitHub.
• Self-started with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
• Outstanding problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Work in Cupertino office 3 days/week

Desirable

• Hands-on laboratory experience with test devices
• Basic knowledge of Battery data
• Experience with Apple OS, such as iOS, MacOS, etc.
• Experience in Tableau
