Zusammenfassung

Larimer County Sheriff’s Office's Emergency Services Unit seeks an experienced Battalion Chief to lead wildland firefighting efforts across the county, cultivating strong relationships with partner agencies, volunteer groups, and state/federal partners.

This is a full‑time, in‑person role with on‑call rotation. You will mentor teams, oversee budgets and training, and support strategic planning with the Emergency Services Chief to strengthen disaster response and community safety.

Qualifikationen

• Five (5) years of full-time emergency services work with supervisory experience.
• Two (2) years of supervisor experience.
• NWCG arduous level work capacity test must be current.

Aufgaben

• Lead an assigned portfolio of Emergency Services programs and teams, setting direction and standards.
• Respond to emergencies and disasters across the county in incident command roles.
• Build and maintain relationships with partner agencies, districts, and state/federal agencies.
• Manage program budgets, grants, purchasing, and resource tracking.
• Oversee recruitment, training, qualification standards, and succession planning.
