Skilled Carpenter

Fast-paced local office of an international franchise has an opening for an Expert Bathroom Remodeler. Our customers love us! With over 50% of our business coming from repeat and referral customers, Handyman Connection of Eden Prairie is growing, and we’re seeking skilled professionals to join our team. We are a locally owned and operated, well-established home improvement company dedicated to excellent customer service and quality workmanship.

What You Will Receive

1. $35-$55 an hour – competitive pay based on your skills and experience (paid by the job, not by the hour)
2. 1099 independent contractor position – enjoy the flexibility of setting your own schedule and being your own boss

Job Summary

1. Cut, shape, and install building materials during construction, remodeling, or repair in residential and light commercial settings
2. Work with fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard
3. Accurately determine and identify proper materials and quantities for new and existing projects
4. Evaluate customer requests, troubleshoot issues, and problem-solve to find solutions
5. Complete a variety of Remodeling Projects, including fiberglass surrounds, custom tile surrounds, tile floors, vanity swaps, fixture swaps, bathroom additions, kitchens, and basements

Job Requirements

1. Competency in general building trades
2. Minnesota driver’s license and insurance
3. Your own tools, vehicle (truck or work van), and references
4. Workers compensation insurance
5. Smartphone and Internet access
6. Ability to complete projects from start to finish independently
