Job summary

Ruth's Chris Steak House in Maryland seeks a restroom attendant to maintain cleanliness of restrooms and surrounding areas. You will clean floors, walls, mirrors, restock supplies, and ensure sanitary conditions before and after service.

Candidates should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 100 pounds occasionally, and work nights, weekends, and holidays. Equal opportunity employer. Training provided.

• Minimum 6 months general labor or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work on time as indicated on the weekly work schedule.
• Uniform meets restaurant requirements and is maintained and clean.
• Cleans and stocks the restaurant restrooms and surrounding areas, prior to opening of the restaurant.
• Vacuum all surrounding area.
• Sweep and mop all tile and wood floors in and around the restrooms.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation for all restrooms and restocks toilet paper, hand soap, and towels after each guest use the evening.
• Assist with cleans windows and mirrors at the entrance of the restaurant.
• Assists stocking all plateware, glassware, eating utensils, cups, bowls, pots, pans and other smallware’s.
• Remove trash from the restrooms.
• Completes all duties while adhering to safety guidelines; report unsafe conditions to Chef or Manager-on-Duty.
• Follows all national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines.
• Must check out with the MOD before leaving.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Cleans and maintains the restrooms and surrounding areas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Reports to work on time as indicated on the weekly work schedule.
2. Uniform meets restaurant requirements and is maintained and clean.
3. Cleans and stocks the restaurant restrooms and surrounding areas, as assigned. These include but are not limited to, floors, walls, mirrors, trash cans, polish all fixtures and door handle, dusting and restocking, prior to opening of the restaurant.
4. Vacuum all surrounding area.
5. Sweep and mop all tile and wood floors in and around the restrooms.
6. Maintains the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation for all restrooms and restocks toilet paper, hand soap and hand towels after each guest use the evening.
7. Assist with cleans windows and mirrors at the entrance of the restaurant.
8. Assists stocking all plateware, glassware, eating utensils, cups, bowls, pots, pans and other smallware’s.
9. Remove trash from the restrooms.
10. Accomplishes all job duties while adhering to all safety guidelines and practices throughout the shift. Immediately reports any unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, accidents and/or injuries to the Chef or Manager-on-Duty.
11. Correctly completes all station closing duties at the end of each shift.
12. Follows all national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines as specified by the restaurant.
13. Must check out with the MOD before leaving

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to four hours in length.
• Must be able to constantly bend, stoop, lift, handle, and carry supplies goods at a minimum of 50 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to eight hours in length
• Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat on a frequent basis
• Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively
• Must be able to work in an environment subject to wet floor conditions, extreme cold (30 degrees), heat temperatures above 100 degrees, loud noises from restaurant, fumes. And orders
• The use of cut gloves as that is a company requirement for all BOH personnel for safety
• Maintains good grooming habits
