Overview

USAntibiotics, the only U.S. manufacturer of Amoxicillin products, is part of the Jackson Healthcare family of companies. The Batchmixer II is responsible for combining the raw materials into a quality blend or encapsulated form as part of producing finished products. This includes compounding batches of various products, encompassing encapsulation, weighing and blending, granulation, cleaning, packaging, warehousing, and any other required processes in accordance with approved production documents and operating procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Clean and/or inspect equipment and containers for batch mixing, and document cleanliness in a log book following approved methods.
  • Identify, verify, and document the approved ingredients to be weighed for the batch.
  • Weigh ingredients using the metric system, verify measurements, and record details before transfer to the blender.
  • Blend ingredients in the proper blender according to approved procedures and methods.
  • Calculate active and inactive ingredients based on batch records and varying potencies.
  • Perform SAP transactions and use Mettler FreeWeigh as required.
  • Discharge blended mixture into clean containers and transport them to the designated storage area.
  • Inspect and clean equipment destined for compaction and milling, documenting usage in logbooks.
  • Set up compaction, milling, and classifying equipment according to standard product guidelines.
  • Operate compaction, milling, and classifying equipment, adjusting settings to produce granulation that meets product specifications.
  • Collect granulated blend into labeled clean containers and place in storage.
  • Clean, inspect, verify, and document cleaning of equipment and containers as required by approved procedures.
  • Perform reconciliation of blends at each step of the process in accordance with batch or blend Standard Operating Instructions.
  • Verify and document calculations performed by other batchmixers.
  • Assist on additional jobs assigned by supervisors.
  • Cross‑train on sampling for QA submission, capsule machine operations, production area cleaning, coating processes, and resource duties in other departments such as Packaging Warehouse.
Qualifications – Education, Experience, Certifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; preferred: Associate's degree in Chemical Technology or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably pharmaceutical/GMP.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Read and comprehend cGMP guidelines and SOPs.
  • Proficient in the metric system and possess strong math skills.
  • Physical stamina and good vision with color perception.
  • Accurate measurement skills and maintain a neat work environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work shift and overtime as required.
  • Team‑oriented work style.
  • Competence in standard software packages (Outlook, Word) and SAP experience.
  • High level of dependability and integrity.
