About the role:

Part of the role will require travel for initial training in California for 2-4 weeks at the start of the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Follow all SOPs, GMP, and safety rules.
  • Read and follow batch records to prepare formulas correctly.
  • Add raw materials in the proper sequence and amounts.
  • Operate, monitor, and clean compounding equipment.
  • Record all batch data and complete documentation accurately.
  • Communicate with Pre-Weigh, Warehouse, and Quality teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Follow FIFO (First-In-First-Out) for raw materials.
  • Identify and report any deviations, issues, or equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years of experience in compounding, mixing, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and batch records.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously for the entire scheduled shift (typically 8-12 hours) on concrete or industrial flooring, with only standard meal and rest breaks; this is an essential function of the role.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry raw material containers, bags, and totes weighing up to 60 lbs, and to move loads up to 500 lbs using material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, drum dolly, hoist).
  • Ability to push and pull mixing totes, drums, and carts weighing up to 500 lbs using appropriate equipment.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, and reach (including overhead reaching) to add ingredients, access mixing tank ports, and operate equipment controls.
  • Ability to climb short ladders or fixed platform steps to access elevated mixing tank openings and equipment as needed.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate compounding equipment controls, valves, and hand tools, and to perform precise ingredient measurement and addition.
  • Near vision sufficient to read batch records, formula sheets, ingredient labels, and equipment displays and gauges.
  • Hearing sufficient to detect equipment alarms and verbal safety communication over the sound of mixing and processing equipment.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to raw material dust, odors, and varying temperatures within the compounding area.
  • Ability to wear required PPE for the full duration of the shift, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hairnet or beard cover, and slip-resistant closed-toe footwear, plus additional PPE (e.g., respirator) as required for specific materials.
  • Compliance with all GMP, SOP, and plant safety/OSHA requirements.
