Job summary

Allied Mineral Products in Pell City, Alabama is seeking a Material Handler to support batching operations in a dusty production environment. You will perform hand adds, bulk batching, weigh ups, and operate RF scanners and forklifts.

The role requires reading batch instructions, maintaining clean work areas, and moving pallets to outside storage, with shift variations and safety gear required. Candidates must be 18+, physically fit, and able to pass drug screening.

Qualifications

• Must be physically and mentally fit for duty.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Dependable with attendance.
• Ability to read, write, understand basic mathematics, comprehend SOPs/SDSs and safety procedures.
• Operate computerized equipment and read scales; recognize product issues.
• Must be able to operate a forklift safely.
• Pre-employment drug screen and/or physical examination may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all batching functions: hand adds, bulk batching and weigh ups.
• Read batch instructions and operate RF scanning equipment.
• Operate forklift safely and manage pallet movements.
• Work in other production areas as needed.
• Crush and weigh boric acid and boron oxide for batches.
• Keep batching and materials areas clean and orderly.
• Place pallets in outside storage locations.
• Support both bulk batching systems daily.
• Handle re-blend and partial drums or bags before moving.
