Job summary

Knife River is hiring to support concrete operations in California. You will be producing and batching concrete, dispatching trucks, handling daily customer orders, and maintaining material inventories at the plant.

You’ll also handle reporting, maintenance scheduling, and issue resolution while upholding safety and a people‑first culture. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid California driver’s license, and willingness to work overtime and weekends.

  • Computer skills to enter orders into software.

Major Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid California driver’s license and qualify under KRC Safety Fleet Policy.
  • Must be available to work overtime and weekends.
  • Regular attendance required.
  • Communicate efficiently with customers and company personnel.
  • Extensive knowledge of the surrounding area and of the company products.
  • Ability to take initiative to increase the quality of one’s skills to become more efficient.
  • Ability to read and interpret maps.
  • Perform mathematical functions pertaining to billing, volumes, quantities, etc.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute ratio, percentage, draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Computer skills to enter orders into software.
