Wells in Monroeville, AL is seeking a reliable Batch Plant Operator to accurately batch concrete, operate batching equipment, and support daily plant operations with a strong safety mindset. You will collaborate with Production and Quality teams to ensure high-quality output while maintaining rigorous safety standards.

We value hands-on, mechanically inclined individuals who can troubleshoot issues, manage materials, and drive continuous process improvements in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and leadership.
• Basic math skills, including ability to read a tape measure.

• Willingness to learn and operate equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with Production and Quality Control to ensure batching accuracy and documentation.
• Operate batching equipment, forklifts, loaders, trucks, and crane-ways.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance in partnership with Maintenance.
• Order and manage materials for batch plant operations.
• Schedule and coordinate deliveries with external vendors.
• Follow and enforce all safety procedures and policies.
• Batch concrete accurately based on job specifications.
• Troubleshoot issues and drive continuous process improvements.
• Perform basic calculations for mix designs and material quantities.
• Maintain cleanliness of the mixer area and inspect equipment regularly.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Batch Plant Operator is responsible for accurately batching concrete, operating equipment, and supporting daily plant operations. This role works closely with Production and Quality teams while maintaining safety standards and troubleshooting issues to ensure efficient, high-quality output.

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Batch Plant Operator who takes pride in producing high-quality work in a safe and efficient environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and able to troubleshoot issues while working both independently and as part of a team.

IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
• Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
• Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
• Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
• Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (Depending on location)
• Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high-visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
