Job summary

School of Rock, a global leader in performance-based music education, is seeking a Music Instructor to deliver engaging lessons and rehearsals across our programs. You will help students develop musical skills, stage presence, and life skills through dynamic instruction and live performances.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of teaching or performing experience, solid music theory knowledge, excellent customer relations, strong organization, and a passion for mentoring young musicians.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience teaching and/or performing music professionally.
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Excellent ability to deal with a wide range of customers and other people.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Passion for teaching.

Responsibilities

• Deliver music education-related elements within lessons and rehearsals to create a dynamic student experience.
• Maximize the quality of music instruction, including private lessons and shows.
• Ensure students learn fundamentals of music, not just songs.
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans.
