Job summary

School of Rock Coral Springs is seeking a Bass Instructor to join a growing music education team. You will lead private lessons and rehearsals, maximize instructional quality, and help students develop music and life skills. The role emphasizes fundamentals, performance opportunities, and active parent communication.

The ideal candidate is a working musician with formal training who can inspire, mentor, and maintain an engaging, safe classroom environment within our Coral Springs location.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience teaching and/or performing music professionally.
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and people.
• Strong organizational skills and reliability.
• Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor.
• Ideal candidate is a working musician with formal music school training.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows.
• Ensure students are learning the fundamentals of music, not just songs.
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans.
• Communicate regularly with parents on progress of students after lessons.
• Interact with parents and students regularly by being visible and accessible in the school.
• Assist in rehearsals and basic maintenance in school.
• Adheres to the School of Rock Code of Conduct and safety policies.

We are looking for a Bass Instructor to join us at our School of Rock Coral Springslocation.

As a Bass Instructor you will be responsible for all music education-related elements within the lessons and rehearsals, creating a dynamic experience to ensure students are challenged and inspired. The Bass Instructor/teacher positively embodies rock and roll and is responsible for creating a valuable student experience that helps our students learn music and life skills.

We teach five core areas at School of Rock - keys, vocals, guitar, bass and drums. Many of our instructors have broader musical talent as well which we do our best to engage.

Music Instruction

• Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows
• Be sure the students are learning the fundamentals of music, not just songs
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans

Customer Connection

• Communicate regularly with parents on progress of students after lessons
• Interact with parents and students regularly by being visible and accessible in the school
• Pitch in during canceled lessons in the overall execution of the program
• Assist in rehearsals and basic maintenance in school
• Adheres to the School of Rock Code of Conduct, safety policies, including the Monitoring and Supervision policy.

Skill Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience teaching and/or performing music professionally
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
