Job summary

Farmington City is seeking Basketball Youth Referees for the Farmington Gymnasium, UT. Seasonal positions require refereeing during league play for ages 14-16 (4:30 pm–7:00 pm) and ages 16+ (4:30 pm–9:30 pm) on specified weeknights.

• Basketball Youth Referee: responsible for game time refereeing. Will be trained and then accountable for proper game-time ref calls. Able to communicate with parents, coaches and players regarding rules and league play.
• May be asked to fill in as a scorekeeper.

Job Details: Job Location: Gymnasium - Farmington, UT 84025, Position Type: Seasonal, Education Level: None, Salary Range: $14.00 - $18.00 Hourly, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: Any, Job Category: Government, Basketball Youth Referee: Wage: Your age per game officiated. Tuesday-Thursday, Ages 14 - 16 4:30 pm-7:00 pm. Ages 16 + schedule various between 4:30 pm - 9:30pm. League begins October 26th and runs through end of February. No games on Holiday.

Work Environment

The youth league is held indoors at the Farmington City Gymnasium. Tasks require variety of physical activities, not generally involving muscular strain such as walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, and lifting. Talking, hearing, and seeing essential to effective performance of essential functions. Common eye, hand, finger dexterity exist. Mental application utilizes memory for details, verbal instructions, emotional stability, discrimination thinking, and creative problem-solving.
