Job summary

The Winchester Recreation Department is seeking Basketball Officials for the Youth Recreation League (Grades 3–8). This position is ideal for enthusiastic individuals 16+ who want to contribute to a fun, safe environment for young players.

No certification required; you’ll support coaching staff and oversee game operations during the season. Season runs December 1, 2025 to March 21, 2026 with Saturday games from 7:30am to 3:00pm.

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• No certification required.
• Availability on Saturdays 7:30am–3:00pm is required or preferred.

The Winchester Recreation Department is hiring Basketball League Officials for Boys and Girls Grades 3-8

Join our team as a Basketball Official for our Youth Recreation League! We're looking for enthusiastic, responsible individuals aged 16 and up to help create a fun, fair, and safe environment for young athletes. No certification required—just a love for the game and a commitment to sportsmanship.

Season: December 1, 2025 — March 21, 2026
Pay: $17.50-$25.00 per hour
Boys and Girls Schedule: Saturdays, 7:30am-3:00pm

Times are subject to change based on number of teams/schedule

Who: Must be 16 years of age or older

This position plays a key leadership role in shaping our youngest athletes’ first experience with basketball. You’ll guide and mentor parent volunteer coaches, lead age-appropriate skill sessions, and supervise one of our program sites to ensure a positive and well-run environment.

What You’ll Do:
