Job summary

The YMCA of Dane County's East YMCA is seeking a Part-time Youth Sports Referee who enjoys working with children. You will officiate youth basketball games, maintain control, and provide a safe, fun environment while teaching the rules in an age-appropriate way.

This role emphasizes mentorship and sportsmanship, with responsibilities including communication with volunteer coaches and parents, setup and takedown, and representing the YMCA with a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working with children.
• Strong communication and conflict management skills.
• Ability to confidently manage youth sporting events.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Knowledge of sports rules (training provided as needed).
• Officiating, coaching, or experience working with children is preferred but not required.
