Job summary

Job Description

The Basel Measurement and Analytics (BM&A) Team within Treasury functions as trusted partners to key areas such as Capital Management, Capital & Liquidity Policy (C&LP), Credit Risk Reporting, Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA), and the Lines of Business (LOBs). We champion best practices and accountability in the Regulatory Capital and Risk‑Weighted Assets (RWA) production process. Our team delivers Firmwide Capital and RWA results every month, while leading the implementation, design, and reporting infrastructure for Basel Rules and other capital requirements including Supplementary Leverage Ratio (SLR) and the Capital Numerator. Additionally, our team manages Quantitative Impact Studies (QIS) for regulators and provides expert responses to stakeholder inquiries on capital‑related matters and estimates.

As an Analyst in the Basel Measurement and Analytics (BM&A) team, you will work with line of business Controllers to support the calculation and analysis of RWA results. You will be responsible for producing RWA under Basel rules, analyzing quarter‑over‑quarter RWA variances, and interfacing with LOB controllers to determine variance drivers such as portfolio changes, policy updates, and capital treatment. You will be involved in the end‑to‑end production process and be part of issue identification, tracking, and resolution. Additionally, you will be instrumental in supporting and leading projects to advance the current Capital Infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the collection and aggregation of monthly RWA datasets
  • Perform routine data validation controls for reporting accuracy
  • Analyze period‑over‑period exposure and RWA trends
  • Investigate and resolve data gaps and reporting issues
  • Complete monthly and quarterly reporting deliverables with urgency
  • Support project work and test cases
  • Collaborate with business partners and handle day‑to‑day inquiries
  • Prepare and present updates to senior management and extended stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or Economics

Treasury, Financial or Regulatory Reporting experience at a financial institution or related intern/co‑op experience

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, able to work independently, and possess a controls mindset
  • Self‑motivated individual who seeks challenges
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and control focus
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Superior attention to detail and process‑orientation
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel required and some SQL experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Knowledge of Basel III rules and/or experience with Basel regulatory capital rules preferred
  • Knowledge of Alteryx, Databricks or Python is a plus
  • Advanced degree in a related field
  • Experience in a production or operations environment preferred
  • Experience in project management, creating scorecards and visualizations/dashboards preferred
  • Experience/supporting background related to driving large initiatives across multiple functional groups preferred
  • Experience/knowledge of credit risk management and reporting
