Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. seeks a hardware design engineer to define architecture and reference designs for mobile, AR/VR, and compute products.

You will lead high-speed digital/baseband hardware development, perform SI/PI analysis, and coordinate with silicon, package, and ODM teams to deliver production-ready reference designs. The role requires experience with CPU-based platforms, PCB design tools (Xpedition/Allegro), and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Board-level hardware design experience with CPU-based platforms
• Digital/baseband and analog circuit design experience
• Experience with SI/PI tools and methodologies
• Proficiency with PCB schematic capture and layout tools (Xpedition/Allegro)
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Define system and reference design requirements with cross-functional teams
• Develop platform architectures for mobile/AR/VR/workalike products
• Design and implement high-speed digital/baseband hardware
• Perform SI/PI analysis and optimization for interfaces and power delivery
• Design and integrate high-speed interfaces (PCIe, USB, Ethernet, SPI, I2C)
• Support hardware integration into products and collaborate with ODMs
• Provide technical leadership and engage with ODM partners
• Conduct design reviews and provide feedback on ODM designs
• Apply DFT/DFM and high-volume manufacturing best practices
• Assimilate quickly into projects and solve complex hardware challenges
