Job summary

The Drew School is seeking a Boys Assistant Baseball Coach for a temporary season. Responsibilities include organizing practices, supporting competitions, and mentoring student-athletes. Candidates must have a valid CA driver’s license and coaching certifications; CPR/First Aid is required or available for certification.

The season runs February 8, 2027 through May 7, 2027. The stipend for the season is $6,000.

Qualifications

  • Valid California driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Fingerprinting verification required and reimbursed for candidates.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • ASEP or NFHS Coaching Certification mandated by the state for coaches.
  • Availability during after-school hours 3:30 p.m.–7 p.m. and weekends as scheduled.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize practice sessions.
  • Attend and support interscholastic competitions.
  • Instruct players on proper rules, regulations, and etiquette.
  • Communicate with players, parents, and administration.
  • Drive school vehicles as needed.
  • Mentor student-athletes academically, physically, and socially.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Job description

The Drew School, a member of the Bay Area Conference, invites applications for the Boys Assistant Baseball Coach position. Drew School seeks a candidate whose experience will contribute to the School's commitment to diversity and inclusiveness.

Please note, this position is temporary/seasonal. This position will be starting in February 8, 2027 and ending May 7, 2027.

Job Description

Boys Assistant Baseball Coaches are responsible for carrying out coaching and administrative duties for the boys soccer program including:

  • Prepare and organize practice sessions
  • Attend and support interscholastic competitions
  • Instruct soccer players on proper rules, regulations, and etiquette
  • Communicating with players, parents, and administration
  • Drive school vehicles
  • Serving as a mentor to student-athletes helping them develop academically, physically, and socially
  • Performing related duties as assigned

Pay: Stipend of $6,000 for the season

Requirements
  • Valid California driver's license
  • Fingerprinting verification (Drew reimburses this cost to selected candidates)
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or the willingness to become certified.
  • ASEP or NFHS Coaching Certification mandated by the state for all high school coaches. Drew will coordinate this for any selected candidates who do not have the certification.
  • Must be available during after-school hours weekdays, between 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends as scheduled.
