Job summary

UPS is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust plant floor devices to maintain optimal performance of conveyors and related equipment. The role sorts calls and breakdowns and expedites their completion to resolve downtime.

The candidate will work with maintenance mechanics and must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, programming and electrical troubleshooting knowledge, and proficiency in reading schematics and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or international equivalent.
• Programming experience including troubleshooting, basic understanding of networks, motor control theory, and operation including basic AC and DC electrical troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams.

Job Description

This position troubleshoots, calibrates, and adjusts plant floor devices as necessary to maintain optimal performance of plant floor equipment. This position sorts calls and breakdowns and expedites their completion. This position provides information to maintenance mechanics on how to complete required repairs to resolve breakdown situations. This position assists in solving the daily problems inherent in keeping the conveyors or physical facility in good working order.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams
• Must have flexible scheduling based on the operation needs (night and possible weekends)
