Virtua Health is seeking a part-time, per diem EMS dispatcher to support the Medcom operations. You will manage radios, phones, and dispatch data to ensure swift, accurate communication for emergency and non-emergency transports across Virtua facilities and partners in New Jersey.
The role requires an EMS background, HS diploma, and EMT-Basic training is preferred. The position offers a night shift with on-site work and comprehensive benefits for eligible staff.

Responsible for the department unit response and placement to ensure the efficient flow of emergency and non-emergency transports and the incoming and outgoing telephone and radio transmissions. Responsible for the daily operations of Medcom, to assure professional and consistent standard of radio and phone communications for the Emergency Medical Services Department. Interact with EMS staff, coordinate emergent and non-emergent transportation and interact with facilities to assist with movement of patients. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Previous EMS/911 dispatch experience preferred. Knowledge of local EMS systems and EMS communications.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Graduate of a recognized Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Training Program preferred.
Certified as an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic by the Commissioner of Health & Senior Services of the State of New Jersey preferred
Public Safety Telecommunicator Basic Training Course within 6 months of hire.
Emergency Medical Dispatcher Training Course within 6 months of hire.
Hourly Rate: $28.25
