Job summary

Southwest Electrical Contracting Services in Wilmington, NC, is seeking a motivated Building Automation System (BAS) Installer Helper to support our installation team on commercial and industrial automation projects. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to start a career in electrical or building automation.

You will assist with installing conduit, pulling wire, mounting devices, and supporting lead installers to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Meets SWECS minimum eligibility requirements for a new hire.
• Possesses a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Has access to reliable transportation.
• Maintains an excellent record of attendance.
• Maintains a minimum required tool list.
• Able to work in construction environments (indoors/outdoors, ladders, lifts, etc.).
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor throughout the day.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred.
• Prior electrical or construction experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation of BAS controls, panels, and devices
• Help run conduit, pull wire, and organize materials on job sites
• Support lead installers and technicians with daily tasks
• Maintain clean and safe work areas
• Follow safety policies and OSHA guidelines at all times
• Load/unload tools, equipment, and materials
• Learn BAS systems, electrical practices, and installation techniques

Southwest Electrical Contracting Services is seeking a motivated Building Automation System (BAS) Installer Helper to support our installation team with commercial and industrial automation projects.
