Job summary

Albireo Energy is seeking a Systems Specialist II to assist in operating and maintaining building automation systems. You will troubleshoot field cabinets, sensors, and controls, and support startup and commissioning under supervision.

Preferred candidates have 2 years BAS experience, an electronics-related degree, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum of experience in BAS technician field roles.
• Vocational school or associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field preferred.
• Experience in high-availability environments like data centers, hospitals, or government facilities.
• Familiarity with Delta and Siemens product line and software suite.
• Self-starter attitude, inquisitive, and eager to learn and grow.
• Ability to document daily tasks, plan and prepare for tasks assigned.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high-quality reports.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair building-automation-system field cabinets, sensors, and controls.
• Perform point-to-point checkout of end devices using multimeter and verification steps.
• Download modules and assist in bringing networks online.
• Communicate technical issues to senior technicians and document tasks.
• Maintain field markups and warranty-related service calls.
• Assist with backups during projects and startup of systems.
• Support third-party commissioning with documentation and demonstrations.
• Create thorough daily reports and submit to project team.
