Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Building Automation Systems Design Engineer in Nashville, TN to develop advanced HVAC controls for commercial facilities. You will design BAS from concept through construction, collaborating with project managers, programmers, and field technicians to deliver reliable, energy-efficient systems.

The role requires mid-level experience with BAS and DDC systems, familiarity with major BAS platforms, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience designing or engineering commercial Building Automation or HVAC Controls systems.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, DDC controls, and control strategies.
• Familiarity with BAS platforms including Tridium Niagara, Schneider EcoStruxure, Siemens Desigo, Johnson Controls Metasys, Distech, Delta Controls, Reliable Controls, Honeywell, Alerton, or WebCTRL.
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, and networked control systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Visio is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design Building Automation (BAS/DDC) systems for commercial HVAC applications.
• Develop control sequences, point lists, network architecture, and system drawings.
• Engineer control solutions for AHUs, VAVs, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, heat pumps, and central plant equipment.
• Generate submittals, panel layouts, and project documentation.
• Review mechanical plans and specifications to ensure accurate system design.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, and field teams throughout project execution.
• Support system integrations using BACnet, Modbus, and other open protocols.
