Job summary

Compass Group USA's Levy is seeking a Bartender at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville to prepare and serve beverages in a fast-paced bar environment with friendly, timely service.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to liquor regulations for minors and intoxicated guests.
• Set up bars; stock beer, wine and ice.
• Maintain stock and perishables to ensure product quality.
• Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
• Take and process orders for drinks.
• Check guests at the bar for proper identification.
• Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained; knowledge of liquor laws.
• Receive payment from guests, verify charges, and record transactions.
• Lock up and store beverage products, food, equipment, and POS.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to meet health and safety standards; keep area tidy.

Summary: Prepares and serves beverages to guests in bar area in a friendly, courteous and timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Sets up assigned bars; requisitions and stocks all beer, wine and ice.
• Maintains stock and other perishables to ensure product quality.
• Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
• Takes and/or processes orders for drinks.
• Checks guests at the bar for proper identification.
• Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
• Receives payment from guests, verifies validity of charges, records charges and ensures vouchers are properly executed.
• Locks up and stores all beverage product, food, equipment items, and POS.
• Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keeps work area clean and organized.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Abiliy to work in many different weather conditions.
