Job summary

Live Nation Entertainment's Concerts Division in Minneapolis is seeking a bartender to join a fast-paced, guest-centric venue team. You will interact with guests, upsell beverages, and handle POS transactions while upholding safety standards.

Ideal candidates have Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training, the ability to work late hours, and a flexible schedule; prior experience in a high-volume setting is a plus. The role supports events and nightly operations in an iconic live music environment.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests in a natural, friendly demeanor
• Cultivate regular guests and repeat business
• Successfully complete a pour test prior to every shift
• Suggestively sell beverages and menu items to guests at the bar
• Deliver food items and beverage orders promptly
• Prioritize and organize drink orders
• Prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications
• Record equipment failure and safety hazards in bar log
• Refuse further service to intoxicated guests and notify a manager
• Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and policies
• Request proper identification for anyone under 30
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards
• Perform Opening/Running/Closing duties
• Prepare guest checks and process payments at POS
• Maintain bartender cash bank
• Occasionally work Special Events at the venue

What This Role Will Do

• Interact with guests in a natural, friendly demeanor
• Cultivate regular guests and repeat business
• Successfully complete a pour test prior to every shift, where applicable
• Suggestively sell both beverages and menu items to guests at the bar
• Deliver food items and beverage orders promptly
• Prioritize and organize drink orders
• Consistently prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications, abide by all control systems
• Record any equipment failure and/or safety hazards in bar log
• Recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, bringing it to the attention of a manager
• Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance alcohol awareness training and HOB alcohol policies
• Request proper identification for anyone appearing under 30 years of age
• Maintain HOB safety and sanitation standards
• Perform Opening/Running/Closing duties according to HOB policy
• Prepare guest checks (on point of sales terminal) and process payment according to HOB policy
• Maintain bartender bank
• Perform cash pull / check out proceduresMaintain appropriate Comp and Spill checks
• Required to occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue

The Expected Compensation For This Position Is

$16.37 USD Hourly

• Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
