Job summary

Kiawah Island Golf Resort is seeking a skilled Bartender to join our luxury team on Kiawah Island. You will craft high-end cocktails, wines and beverages, while delivering five-star service to guests in a resort environment known for elegance and exceptional hospitality.

Responsibilities include bar upkeep, collaboration with the F&B team, and maintaining top-tier standards. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required to meet guest demand.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience in a fine dining or luxury resort is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, spirits and beverages.
• Excellent guest service mindset with strong communication skills.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, professional, and charismatic Bartender to join our dynamic team at Kiawah Island Golf Resort. As a Bartender, you will play a pivotal role in providing our guests with an unparalleled bar experience. Your expertise in mixology, dedication to luxury service, and attention to detail will contribute to enhancing our reputation as a premier resort destination.

Pay Rate:

The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.

Qualifications:

• Previous bartending experience in a fine dining or luxury hotel/resort environment is highly preferred.
• Exceptional knowledge of cocktails, wine, spirits, and other beverages.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for delivering outstanding guest service.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and polished demeanor.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Knowledge of resort-style service and the ability to anticipate and meet guest needs in a luxury setting.
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (TIPS or equivalent) is preferred.

• Guest Experience: Provide impeccable service to guests, including personalized recommendations and creating memorable experiences through superior hospitality.
• Luxury Service Standards: Maintain the highest level of professionalism, courtesy, and hospitality at all times. Uphold Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s reputation for elegance and luxury.
• Bar Management: Maintain an organized and clean bar environment, ensuring all supplies are stocked and all equipment is in working order. Handle cash and process transactions accurately.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the food and beverage team to ensure seamless service delivery and exceptional guest satisfaction.
• Knowledge & Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in mixology and beverage offerings, continually enhancing your skills and contributing creative ideas to our menu.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal regulations, including alcohol service standards and sanitation procedures.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds across short-medium distance.
• Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
• Must be able to stand for entirety of shift while bending, stretching, and lifting.
