Job Summary

The Server is responsible for serving food and beverages to guests, ensuring outstanding guest service and contributing to the hotel's profitability.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet all customers.
• Inform guests of specials and menu changes; be aware of dietary needs.
• Make recommendations and upsell food and beverage items using suggestive selling techniques.
• Answer questions about food regions, preparation, taste, textures, alcohol list, and other hotel services.
• Ensure food quality and appearance meet hotel standards.
• Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with regulations.
• Deliver food and drinks promptly.
• Maintain a proper dining experience by fulfilling customer needs and replenishing utensils and glasses.
• Perform side work, including cleaning and stocking, during and after shifts.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and respond promptly and courteously.
• Prepare bills, present checks, accept payments, and process transactions.
• Assist as needed to ensure smooth restaurant/bar operations.
• Wash dishes as assigned.
• Keep restrooms clean and stocked.
• Notify supervisors of low stock items.
• Clean and organize serving stations, ensuring they are well-stocked.
• Open and pour wine properly at the table.
• Clear tables after meals.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards throughout service.
• Adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in hospitality is a plus.
• Obtain required food service licenses and certifications.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs for 5 feet.
• Stand for the entire shift.
• Effective communication in English.
• Reliable, flexible to work long hours, holidays, and weekends.
