Job summary

Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming is seeking a part-time Bartender in Calvert City, Kentucky. The role involves preparing drinks for bar patrons and floor guests, maintaining bar cleanliness, and ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming is a newly constructed facility in a high-traffic area in Calvert City, Kentucky at the intersection of I-69 and I-24. The Property will feature nearly 240 state-of-the-art historical racing machines (“HRMs”), a sports bar and a retail sportsbook, simulcast wagering, and food and beverage offerings. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for leading the successful overall direction, administration, and coordination of all operating activities of Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming including Pre-opening activities, culture creation, staffing, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and the ongoing operations of historical racing machine operations, gaming operations, simulcast operations, sportsbook operations, and entertainment operations.

Job Summary

Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming (“Marshall Yards” or the “Property”) is a newly constructed facility in a high-traffic area in Calvert City, Kentucky, at the intersection of I-69 and I-24. The Property features nearly 240 state-of-the-art historical racing machines (“HRMs”), a sports bar and a retail sportsbook, simulcast wagering, and food and beverage offerings.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Prepare drinks correctly at the bar for all patrons at the bar and on the floor
  • Assisting with the cleaning of the bar area and assisting with inventory maintenance.
  • Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests.
  • Responsible for performing “responsible alcohol service” concerning patron limitations and passing any/all responsible alcohol service training.
  • Responsible for beverage service to all guests, including walking the floor, taking orders from patrons and returning these orders in a timely fashion.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Abilities
  • Knowledge of all bar equipment, cash registers, and Easy Bar beverage system.
  • Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcohol.
  • Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to handle high-pressure demands.
  • Must be able to walk the floor and carry a drink tray
  • Must be able to work an alternate schedule with a minimum of two (2) weeks’ notice.
  • Must be available on weekends and holidays.
Education And Experience
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior Bartending experience preferred.
  • Must be able to complete the STAR certification for alcohol service
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
