Job description

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
  • Take food and beverage orders and make recommendations when appropriate.
  • Verify guest age and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and regulations.
  • Accurately process cash, credit card, room charge, and other transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, service areas, and equipment.
  • Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies as needed.
  • Monitor guest consumption and exercise responsible alcohol service practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of current drink menus, specials, promotions, and hotel offerings.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including inventory and cash reconciliation.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow all company policies, health and safety regulations, and food handling procedures.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous bartending experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle cash and operate a point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
  • Must obtain and maintain any required alcohol service certifications.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
