Base pay range

$13.00/hr - $13.00/hr

Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They must be personable, professional and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

Responsibilities

• Meet the company standards for guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards.
• Follow bar pre-shift notes and menus, providing service as described.
• Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures and regulations.
• Learn about various beer, wine, and spirits, and upsell products.
• Pour drinks responsibly according to standards.
• Verify guest age by checking IDs in accordance with regulations.
• Communicate a cut-off time to guests as required.
• Respond to customer requests and concerns.
• De-escalate intoxicated or confrontational guests, involving security or management if necessary.
• Handle cash accurately and manage issued bank.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station and ensure equipment is well-maintained.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of the bar as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months or more experience bartending.
• Accurate cash handling skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-directed and team-oriented.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and long hours.
• Bartending school preferred.
