Job summary

The Seahorse Oceanfront Inn—Bev Team is looking for an enthusiastic bartender to join our oceanfront property in Neptune Beach, FL. You will manage bar supplies, prepare drinks, and handle cash and POS operations with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Applicants should have strong communication, enjoy teamwork, and be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a high-energy setting near the Atlantic. Full-time employment with opportunities to grow within the hotel bar program.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently maintain bar supplies and prepare daily requisitions.
• Be familiar with liquor types, recipes, prices and proper glassware.
• Know drink recipes, prices and beverage offerings.
• Handle cash, MICROS/ registers, and tipping procedures accurately.
• Anticipate guest needs and maintain positive guest relations.
• Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Receive formal liquor liability training within 30 days and every 2 years.

Job Description

What you will be doing

• Efficiently maintain bar supplies, including preparation of daily requisition, as necessary.
• Must be completely familiar with all the different kinds of liquor, recipes and prices of drinks, proper glassware used for each recipe, as well as garnishes needed.
• Know drink recipes, prices and type of beverages available.
• Be familiar with accurate cash handling procedures to include proper discounting, MICROS system (or registers), bank procedures and tip policies. Responsible for accurately charging the guests for drinks. Responsible for accurate intake of all the monies.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, maintaining positive guest relations at all times.
• Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction in each interaction.
• Be formally trained regarding liquor liability within 30 days of employment and every 2 years thereafter.
